CLAT which stands for Common Law Admission Test 2018 is an examination conducted to provide law aspirants of India as a gateway to Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate and Integrated Law programs at various National Law Universities in the country. CLAT 2018 is an exam which will help students gain admission in India’s top Law colleges, there are nearly 18 CLAT participating National Law Universities

CLAT is conducted yearly by one of the 18 NLUs on a rotational basis. Successful candidates in CLAT seek admission into law programmes such as BA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BSW LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes on offer at the 18 NLUs.

As per the CLAT examination authority to be eligible for appearing for this Law entrance examination students must qualify 12th board examination (Intermediate examination) of 10+2 educational system, scoring at least 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects studied at 10+2 level, if they aspire to apply for the UG Law specializations.
For candidates who will be registering for postgraduate law programs, the CLAT 2018 eligibility criterion states that applicants must have an LLB degree with a minimum score of 55% marks in the final year of law degree examination. Now, there is no age bar for those applying for five-year undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programs through CLAT 2018.
Law aspirants can visit the official exam website- http://www.clat.ac.in/, the Application Forms would be available from the month of January 2018. Candidates need to register first by creating an unique ID and password. Students will have to login using their username and password and fill out the Application Form by providing all relevant personal and educational details.
Candidates who will be registering for the CLAT 2018 will have to pay INR. 4,000/- (for UR, OBC, SAP applicants) as application fee. The application fee for SC/ST applicants is INR. 3,500/-. The application fee can be paid either online or offline mode. The application fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.
