All India Law Entrance Test Exam 2018(AILET - B.A. LL.B (Hons.))

All India Law entrance test is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi. The candidates aspiring for BA LLB, LLM and Phd programs offered by NLU Delhi, have to take AILET exam. The eligibility criteria AILET 2018 exam varies on the factor; for which program candidate is taking the exam. The application process for AILET 2018 will start tentatively from the month of January and will conclude in the month of April 2018. AILET will be conducted in the month of May 2018. Result of the exam would be declared in the last week of May 2018. 

Candidates are advised to be through with the application process of the AILET exam. Conducting body ie National Law University Delhi have not announced the official dates for the AILET exam. 

AILET 2018 Exam Dates

Registration of the application for All India Law Entrance Test will start from the month of January. There is no official notification regarding the dates of AILET exam yet but it is expected to start soon. The application process will start from the month of January and will continue till April. The exam will take place in the month of May. 

After the exam the interview and the counseling process will take place in the month of June and the session will start in the month of August. Please refer the table below for the dates of AILET 2018 Exam.

AILET - B.A. LL.B (Hons.) Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria

AILET 2018 Eligibility Criteria would vary on various factors. Eligibility criteria for BA LLB, LLM and PHD exam would be different. 

Eligibility criteria for AILET BA LLB

To take admission in National Law University in BA LLB candidate must satisfy following eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent in any stream from a recognized board.
  • Candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks in 10+2 to qualify to take AILET exam
  • For foreign nationals minimum qualifying marks in 10+2 or equivalent is 65%
  • Candidates in the final year can also take the examination and will be given admission on the provisional basis, however the university holds the right to cancel the admission, if candidate is unable to submit the proof of eligibility, within a prescribed period of time.

Age Limit

  • Candidate should be less than 20 years of age as on 1st July 2018.
  • Candidates from the reserved category will be given exemption of 2 years and age limit for the scheduled caste candidates is 22 years.

Application Form and Registration

Application process for the AILET 2018, will start from the month of January. The process starts with the registration of the application. Registration process in entirely online. Candidate need to register in the official website of the NLU Delhi using their Email ID. After the registration candidate will fill the detailed application form and affix their scanned passport size photograph and signature. Finally they will submit the application fees and complete the process. 

AILET 2018 Application Fees

At the time of application the candidates needs to submit the application fees. The fees for making application for AILET 2018 is INR 3000 for general candidate. Fees for candidates from reserved category (Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe with Disability) is INR 1000. There will not be any application fees for the candidates below poverty line.
